Back to School: Furry Overlords, Ancient Civilizations, and Adulting (Ugh!)

Ugh, it’s that time of year again: back to school. And as if that wasn’t enough, yours truly is attempting the impossible: being a student, holding down a full-time job, and keeping up with my volunteer commitments. I’m not sure what’s worse, the early mornings, the fact that I have to wear pants, or the sheer exhaustion that comes with trying to do it all. But alas, duty calls. This semester, I’m taking a motley crew of classes: Digital Electronics & Computer Architecture, Programming 1, Introduction to Global Ethics, and Greek and Roman Civilization. I’m hoping that the furry overlords are prepared for lots of cuddle time because I’m going to need it. And maybe a stiff drink or two.

Digital Electronics & Computer Architecture

This class is going to be a challenge. I’m not exactly a tech whiz (unless you count mastering the art of the perfectly filtered selfie), but I’m hoping that I can at least learn the basics. I’m also hoping that there will be some cute guys in the class. A little eye candy never hurt anyone, right? Maybe they can help me debug my code…or at least my love life.

Programming 1

I’m actually kind of excited about this class. I’ve always wanted to learn how to code. Maybe I can finally create that app that tells me what to wear every day. Or maybe I can create a dating app for furries. Or maybe, just maybe, I can automate some of my work tasks so I can get more sleep. The possibilities are endless!

Introduction to Global Ethics

This class is going to be interesting. I’m curious to learn about different ethical perspectives from around the world. I’m also hoping that we can have some lively debates in class. I’m not afraid to speak my mind, even if it gets me into trouble. (Which, let’s be honest, is probably going to happen.)

Greek and Roman Civilization

I’m a sucker for anything ancient. I’m hoping that this class will be full of juicy gossip about the gods and goddesses. I’m also hoping that we can watch some epic movies like “Gladiator” and “Troy.” Because let’s face it, after a long day at work and volunteering, I need a little escapism in my life.

So there you have it. My back-to-school blog post. I’m not sure what the semester holds, but I’m sure it will be an adventure. And to my furry overlords, I’ll see you soon for some much-needed cuddle time. And to my fellow students, don’t be afraid to say hello. I’m always up for making new friends (and study buddies).

Stay sassy (and sane!), my friends.
